Limousine basics
What are the various types of limousines?
This particular vehicle is available in a number of varieties featuring different sizes and other amenities few of which are:
Sedan limousines – This is the smallest variety which accommodates only about 2 to 3 persons. Generally this is preferred for travelling to airport and it’s rent is also the cheapest. Our fleet includes Lincoln Town Cars, Cadillac Deville, Mercedes Benz s550.
Stretch limousines – This variety is similar to the sedan but is quite a bit longer. This itself is of three types named as the 6 pax, 8 pax and 10 pax as per their accommodation capacity.
Super stretch limousines – majority of different models are Town Cars and also the SUVs like Lincoln Navigator, Hummers, Escalades, Excursions and a more. This is a good option when everybody wants to travel in the same vehicle, because around 14 to 20 people can fit in comfortably.
Party buses – The popularity of this type has been increasing recently. The advantage of this vehicle is you can stand and walk inside it. These party buses are mainly used for partying on the move, hence they have dance poles and club lighting too. It can fit around 44 people.
What is a limousine, actually?
Historically it is a large chauffeur driven luxurious car and some have a glass separation in between the passenger and driver’s compartment. So in order to communicate with the driver you have to either use an intercom or slide the glass partition. It was first built in the year 1902. It’s name has been derived from a French region named “Limousin”, as the covering of the driver’s compartment resembles the cloak put on by shepherds of that region.
